FYI – Thought to share this, one of the “God sightings” that my beloved, sweet Melissa so often refers to in these days….
A modified excerpt of a message from some praying friends:
Dear Friends,
When I took on this food project, I had a little idea in the back of my head. I didn’t want to say anything until it had come true. Today’s that day.
We get fresh produce delivered to our door every two weeks from a local company by the name of Farm Fresh Delivery (they’re in Indianapolis and Cincinnati). About two weeks ago, I contacted them with Rex and Melissa’s story. Their response was, “We’re praying for Rex, Melissa, and the girls, and we’ll get back to you on the food.” Perfect.
They emailed today and have offered [a multiple matching of our fellowship's donation]. They will prepare a bin of organic produce including items that Rex and Melissa request, and it will be delivered to our house. We can still supplement with additional items from Whole Foods and Costco, but this will stretch our donations even further.
